Skills Development/Sustainability Projects

1. Sewing and fashion designing

Under the supervision of Pastor Shirley Naidoo and the help of Phoebe Mohamed; a resident of the Haven of Rest. Our Sewing room was able to showcase their skills by sewing Aprons, Shopping Bags and Beautiful towel sets and selling these items during the Market Day that was held in March this year, as a fundraiser initiative for the Haven of Rest.

2. Gardening, Maintenance & Welding

The Haven of Rest is blessed to have excellent artisans that are on site. They are highly skilled and versatile craftsmen who render efficient services to the Haven of Rest. A special thanks to Logan Naidoo & Joe Moodley for their all round handyman skills and services, to Thulani Chiliza, Mxolisa Nksasa, Sizwe Ndlovu for the excellent upkeep of the gardens, Ronnie Moonsamy for maintaining the vegetable patch and Mervyn Naidoo for garden and car wash facilities.
